One of the most welcome and hopeful sights for those impacted by disaster is when the red and white Red Cross Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV) arrives on the scene. The ERV is stocked with hot meals, drinking water, first aid supplies, blankets, and comfort and clean-up kits for disaster victims and relief volunteers. It costs us $27,000 to supply our ERVs for one year.
