REAL HEROES

ORDINARY PEOPLE. EXTRAORDINARY COURAGE.

The American Red Cross celebrates ordinary individuals with extraordinary courage every year at the Real Heroes Dinner.

In the past we have honored people who have performed CPR in attempt to save someone's life, rescued their friends from mountainsides, called for help when help was needed, assisted at the scene of an accident, traveled the world to help internationally, and countless more heroic acts.

Think outside the box! A Real Hero can also be someone who has prevented a disaster, prepared their community, taught safety to their friends and family, or even an animal rescue!

If you think someone you know has done something amazing, courageous, or extraordinary we want to know about it! Please nominate them so we can give them the recognition they deserve!

Nominees must be residents of Whatcom County or Skagit Valley . Nominees may be any age. The act must have taken place between August 1st 2009 and August 31st 2010.
