The compliment that helps us on our way is not the one that is shut up in the mind, but the one that is spoken out.- Mark Twain

- "I would like to thank Kim Shepard for all of the many talents and skills she has brought to the Volunteer Services Department. Her expert knowledge and constant attention to detail, as well as her patience, tenacity and wry humor have helped us develop a first-class volunteer program. I will miss your weekly presence at the chapter, but are happy you will stay on as a DAT responder for some time. Good luck building your new house. I know it will be a dream home! " - Linnea Broker
- "Chris, Tom and Linnea: Thank you for sharing your Red Cross knowledge with us!" - Kristi Slette and WWU students
- "Team Red would like to thank you for the opportunity to work with such an outstanding organization and team of volunteers. We were able to learn an immense amount of information reagarding the Red Cross, its leaders and its volunteers, and how they all work together for a common cause. The selflessness displayed by each member of your orgainzation was inspiring, and allowed Team Red to feel strongly about creating the "Hall of Fame" board for all to see. It is Team Red's hope that the board we created will draw even more volunteers to the Red Cross, and will also provide an opportunity for those who have given have already given so much to be recognized in a positive, honorable way. Thank you for your time and efforts!" - Team Red
- Thank you Karen VerBurg for "coming in every Wednesday to help Judy and I." - Janice Bigelow
- Linnea Broker would like to acknowledge Diane Woods for her "extraordinary efforts at learning our Human Capital Management System, and training to become a Subject Matter Expert in our chapter. This is a huge task and is invaluable in the management of our large corps of volunteers".
- Janice Bigelow would also like Kristy Marsolais and James & Sharon Brown to know how much she appreciates them - "Always being ready to help out on the Disaster Action Team when we're in need".
- Christel Joneli recognizes Lynda Nelson as, "A fine citizen!
- Richard Hoffmann thanks Judy and Howie Holz for "hosting a chapter meeting at their beautiful home and providing food and pleasant company. Thank you Judy and Howie!" - Pamela Wild would like to recognize Jay Walker . "Jay is always available to ask advice from, and just information in general. Also despite the high cost of gas, he kept his commitment to meet everyone of his assigned merchants, shook their hands and didn’t ‘let go’ until the contact was signed. Plus he’s a gentle man", says Pamela. - Jay walker would like to recognize Kristy Marsolais for being a stabilizing force for the MSS team. “I have never seen Kristy turn down a work request, and I personally recognize Kristy as an outstanding individual contributor for the MSS team and the American Red Cross”, says Jay.
- Tom Richardson would like to recognize Kristy Marsolais. “Kristy is extraordinary in her willingness to tackle any problem that needs attention; Kristy has proven to be a skilled and hard worker on every project. Even when Kristy is unfamiliar with the complexities of a project, she has always been the first one in that room to volunteer to help get the job done. If we all were as willing- and able – to jump in and help do the work, the Mt. Baker Chapter of the Red Cross would be far more ready to respond to a disaster of any kind or size”, says Tom.
